If You’re Buying a Home
Your agent’s reputation can have a direct impact on your home search. When listing agents know and trust me, they’re more cooperative in arranging showings, and they present my clients’ offers in the best possible light. If an agent has a poor reputation, listing agents can make things difficult—sometimes even steering their sellers toward other offers first.
If You’re Selling a Home
The right listing agent makes a difference. When buyers’ agents know that I’m fair, professional, and easy to work with, they’re more likely to show my listings as often as possible. But if an agent has a reputation for making showings difficult or delaying offer presentations, their listings get pushed to the bottom of the list.
Respect for inspectors and appraisers also matters. When I treat them professionally, they’re more open to reviewing and considering any relevant information I provide. And when I have a great relationship with lenders, attorneys and their support staff, they’re more willing to go the extra mile if a challenge arises.
